In 1988, the first prototype of a bottom bracket shifting system was created which, thanks to a reduction of 2.5 times, was able to more than double the existing gears of a derailleur or hub gearshifting system, thus creating a transmission ratio range that hardly any other shifting principle was able to achieve.
Picture right: mountain-drive with reduction 1:2.5
The speed-drive transmission creates more speed: at the push of a button, the chainring rotates 1.65 times faster.
Again, no cables or rods are required for installation. A simple kick on the gear knob switches up or down!
The extreme translation into the fast is the high-speed drive. At the push of a button the chainring turns much faster, i.e. a small, light and compact 27 chainring has the effect of no less than 67 teeth!
In 2011, the German Haberstock-Mobility GmbH buys the entire production including warehouse and patents.
In the meantime production and sales have been taken over by the company Kwiggle-Bike.Contact: info (at) kwiggle-bike.de
